2024 Blaine Whitworth Go Big or Go Home Golf Tournament Recap
June 9, 2025The 5th Blaine Whitworth Go Big or Go Home Golf Tournament was another successful tournament. It was held at Mules National Golf Club on Friday, October 10, 2025. We had a full field of 120 golfers for a two-person scramble. We had to close registration two months early due to the popularity of our event. We started our day with a “little 30-minute rain delay”; however, the sun did shine, and we had a lovely day. We provided prizes at every hole and a Hole-In-One Contest to win $30,000 toward a car on Hole #11. Even though no one won the car, the golfers seemed to enjoy the course! On the 8th Hole, golfers had the opportunity to have a member of the UCM Jennies golf Team “hit their shot”.
Thanks to the generous support of forty-seven sponsors, thirty-two in-kind sponsors,, and receiving the Warrensburg Convention & Visitors Bureau grant, we are able to continue our work to Make a Difference in the Community. This year, we chose to celebrate Breast Cancer Awareness by asking our golfers and volunteers to wear pink and receive a free raffle ticket for a chance to win a Hot Pink Yeti Cooler, and by providing pink bracelets for purchase for $5.00. At the end of the tournament, we presented a $5,000 check to Chad Edwards, President of the Johnson County Cancer Foundation. The winner of our 50/50 Get it on the Green Contest, David Vogt, donated his $248 in winnings back to the Johnson County Cancer Foundation. We also presented Dana Phillips, Director of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Warrensburg, with a $1,000 check for the Bigs & Littles Program, and a $500 check to the UCM Jennies Golf Team.
We can’t wait to see everyone next year!
